SXSW nabs Dotcom doco

Named in the Documentary Spotlight, Annie Goldson’s Kim Dotcom: Caught in the Web is the only NZ title named among the feature selections for this year’s SXSW.

Produced by Alexander Behse, the film has been on its way for quite a while – as have attempts to secure Dotcom’s extradition. The film is currently in post. Listed as a World Premiere and North American premiere on different parts of the SXSW site, the film will have its world premiere in Austin, albeit without its star in attendance.

Four Australian titles are named in the programme, which runs to 125 features. SXSW will announce its selections for the Midnight, Short Film and VR programmes next week.

SXSW will run 10 – 19 March.
