This world-class programme has been developed to deliver on a range of key objectives from building creative team skills, marketing expertise, business modelling skills, to improving international market knowledge. There are three x three-day modules (you must be committed to attending all three modules), coupled with course mentoring between sessions by the Course Director. Each module will comprise two days for writers and directors and producers; with the third day dedicated to producers/teams only.
The programme is developed for producers, writers and directors of creative content, working at a range of levels across feature films (including documentaries that cross over to theatrical) and television drama. The Course Director, Angus Finney, is the former director of Renaissance Films – a UK-based development, production, financing and sales company, project manager of the Film London Production Finance Market, author of “The International Film Business: A Market Guide Beyond Hollywood”, and a further four books on production, distribution and financing. Finney is also the course leader for the University of Exeter’s ‘MA in Independent Film Business’, a new master’s programme run in partnership with the London Film School.
All producers, writers and directors applying for this programme must have a completed feature film script or TV programme/series that has the potential to gain either local distribution interest and/or international appeal. Specific project focus is encouraged in the application process, as projects will form part of the professional development and mentoring focus. Teams applying together will be given priority.
