The Inland Road heads to Seattle

Jackie van Beek’s feature The Inland Road is named in the New Directors competition line-up for the US’ largest film festival, the Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF).

The Inland Road screened in February in the Generation programme at this year’s Berlinale, garnering mostly positive reviews from Variety and The Hollywood Reporter.

400 films including almost 250 features from 80 countries will screen across SIFF’s various programmes. The New Directors Competition features 10 titles, The Inland Road, seven European films plus one each from Canada and Kenya – Mbithi Masya’s Kati Kati, awarded at Toronto last year and Palm Springs in January.

The Seattle International Film Festival runs 18 May – 11 June.
