David Strong’s short The Last Night last week took out the Best Narrative Short award at the Women’s International Film and Arts Festival (WIFF) in Miami. Producer Wanda Lepionka attended the festival.
Strong’s short has now played several international festivals. It also appeared at Cannes last year in Short Film Corner and was nominated for three Moas.
The Last Night follows Strong’s previous Pacific Dreams , which also had a good run on the festival circuit. The short stars Cohen Holloway, currently on screens in Find Me A Maori Bride and filming Taika Waititi’s Hunt For the Wilderpeople.
