TVNZ’s creative department Blacksand has converted two of its three nominations into gongs in New York at the 2014 Promotion, Marketing and Design Global Excellence Awards. The awards were handed out Friday (NZ time) at the conclusion of the PromaxBDA conference, #WTFuture.
TVNZ Blacksand won a gold in the in Promotional Interactive Applications category for its Shortland Street Transmedia Campaign. It also picked up a bronze in the News/Information Programme Campaign category for the Seven Sharp Launch.
Other winners with a NZ connection were two gongs awarded to BBC Worldwide ANZ for work on Top of the Lake.
The show earned BBC WW a silver in the Dramatic Programme Campaign Using Multiple Media category, and a bronze in the “Behind The Scenes” Promotion – Long/Short Form category.
BBC WW ANZ picked up a third award for BBC Knowledge’s Frontline War in the category for Unscripted/Non-Fiction/Reality Programme Campaign Using Multiple Media.
