Waiting for Toronto

Amberley Jo Aumua’s Waiting, currently playing in the NZIFF’s NZ’s Best line-up, is the first NZ title named for theis year’s Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).

The film is named in Toronto’s Short Cuts line-up, in a field that also includes a couple of this year’s heavy-hitters on the shorts circuit, Qiu Yang’s Palme d’Or winner A Gentle Night and Ayce Kartal’s Annecy award winner Wicked Girl.

Toronto has also now named the first titles for its doco and midnight line-ups.

The Toronto International Film Festival runs 7 – 17 September.
