Waititi Blazed winning path to Axis glory

Taika Waititi’s TVC Blazed, made for the NZ Transport Agency, was a multiple award-winner at last night’s Axis bash in Auckland.

The production took the Grand Axis, plus the Grand Prix in Screen Content (plus screen content gongs Large Scale Screen Content, TV Single Commercial Above 30′ and Viral Film) and the Grand Prix Craft – Direction for Curious Film (plus craft gongs for Cinematography, Copywriting and Editing).

In other screen-related categories The Sweet Shop was named Production Company of the Year for the third year running, while Media Design School’s Sam Pascoe and Hannah King took the TVNZ Axis Student Challenge Award for their work on Share the drama – Coke.
