Wilbur Force wins Doc Pitch

J.Ollie Lucks’ Wilbur Force took the win at yesterday’s Doc Pitch competition.

The project, developed from his 2015 Loading Docs title of the same name, has Loading Docs creator Julia Parnell on board as producer and recently completed a successful fundraising campaign on Boosted.

The project was one of 14 competing at the event which, for the first time, accepted international submissions as part of agreements with other members of the newly-formed Pacific Alliance for Documentary and Internactive Storytelling (PADISA).

Among the prize components, the team will get support from the DOC NZ Trust, plus in-kind contributions from The Sound Room and Park Road Post.

Doc Pitch ran 19 May at AUT. The Doc Edge Festival runs until 29 May at Q Theatre, Auckland.
