Wilderpeople to head for New York

Following its premiere at Sundance and upcoming trip to SXSW, Hunt for the Wilderpeople books a third American festival, announced for Tribeca.

Most of Tribeca’s programme is now revealed, with Wilderpeople the only NZ selection so far. It will play in the festival’s non-competitive 101-strong feature selection.

Australia gets a part share in multi-national omnibus co-production Madly, credited as hailing from six countries, six directors (Mia Wasikowska reps the green and gold) and featuring dialogue in four languages. Also among the directors is 2015 Big Screen Symposium speaker Sebastian Silva. Madly plays in the International Narrative Competition line-up.

The Tribeca Film Festival will run 13 – 24 April.
