Xana Tang gets Letdown

Filthy Rich actress Xana Tang is in Australia for a key supporting role on the new ABC-Netflix show The Letdown. The show began life as one of six pilots commissioned for a Screen Australia-supported initiative and which screened last year. The The Letdown pilot won an AACTA gong in December and a series order.

ABC and Netflix are also partners on the Journey to the West TV series currently in production in NZ.

Tang is cast in The Letdown alongside Sacha Horler (The Dressmaker), veteran Aussie actress Noni Hazlehurst and fellow Kiwi Sarah Peirse (Heavenly Creatures, The Shannara Chronicles). Tang was last seen on TV screens here in Filthy Rich, and returns for the second season which goes to air next month. Her early screen roles were in Michael Bennett’s 2010 feature Matariki, and thedownlowconcept’s 2012 TV show Hounds.

Tang is repped here by GCM, whose Marco Alosio is currently also in Australia, shooting Foxtel’s Fighting Season in Sydney.
