Not only is the channel seeing exponential growth in viewers, it is also being lauded for its companion ZooMoo App, winning seals of approval from some of the world’s most prestigious critics of quality children’s media.

CEO of ZooMoo Networks David Haslingden says the channel’s seamless international spread is due to its universal appeal: “Young children around the world have a natural affection and interest in animals – but until ZooMoo there were no channels that offered children content about animals that were specifically designed for them.”

But ZooMoo is more than just a channel, “Our audience may be young, but they already know about digital technology so ZooMoo was designed from inception to be fully synchronized with a second screen App. We want to maximise the interactivity of the channel, as well as enhance the potential for learning about animals, and so far the App has seen unprecedented success,” Haslingden said.

The ZooMoo App has been widely praised by independent assessors. Last month it received a Parents’ Choice Approved Award Seal of Approval under the rigorous program run by the Parent’s Choice Foundation in the United States.

Parents’ Choice Award Seals are internationally recognized and respected icons of quality. The ZooMoo App review by Parents’ Choice states, “This app is a safe, intuitively-designed and entertaining way for young children to learn facts about animals and habitats, as well as the importance of caring for them.”

A recent review of the ZooMoo App by EducationalAppStore.com, one of the UK’s most respected voices on educational apps for children, gave the App a five-star rating and said the app was “deeply engaging,” and “edutainment in its finest form”.

The ZooMoo channel is now available in Singapore (on StarHub), Malaysia (on Astro), Indonesia (on Indovision), PNG (through Digicel), the Maldives (on Medianet), Brazil (on Sky) and across Latin America (on DirecTV platforms).
